I co-founded Vuela, an open science hardware initiative focused on copying and then adapting/modifying a drone (“Flone”) where I built and sustained cross-border collaborations with technologists, artists, researchers, and local communities, including low-income migrants. We hosted workshops across five South American countries, fostering solidarity-based knowledge sharing with more than 150 collaborators. It was supported by KCE, Mozilla Science Lab, the Shuttleworth Foundation, and PROCISUR.
